# Quantification-of-Trabeculae-Inside-the-Heart-from-MRI-Using-Fractal-Analysis |
2 |
Left ventricular non-compaction (LVNC) is a rare |
3 |
cardiomyopathy (CMP) that should be considered as a possible |
4 |
diagnosis because of its potential complications which are heart |
5 |
failure, ventricular arrhythmias, and embolic events. For analysis |
6 |
cardiac functionality, extracting information from the Left |
7 |
ventricular (LV) is already a broad field of Medical Imaging. |
8 |
Different algorithms and strategies ranging that is semiautomated or automated has already been developed to get useful |
9 |
information from such a critical structure of heart. Trabeculae in |
10 |
the heart undergoes difference changes like solid from spongy. Due |
11 |
to failure of this process left ventricle non-compaction occurred. |
12 |
In this project, we will demonstrate the fractal dimension (FD) and |
13 |
manual segmentation of the Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) |
14 |
of the heart that quantify amount of trabeculae inside the heart. |
15 |
The greater the value of fractal dimension inside the heart |
16 |
indicates the greater complex pattern of the trabeculae in the |
17 |
heart. |
