Patients with medical history or conditions not otherwise previously specified which in the opinion of the investigator should exclude participation in this study; the investigator can consult the study chair or study co-chairs for uncertainty in this regard Patients with medical history or conditions not otherwise previously specified which in the opinion of the investigator should exclude participation in this study; examples of this would be hearing loss or neuropathy which would prevent tolerance to cisplatin, and paclitaxel administration; the investigator should feel free to consult the Study Chair or Study Co-Chairs for uncertainty in this regard Patients with other medical conditions judged by the investigator to be clinically relevant in the setting of this study, which may include active infectious processes, intractable emesis, or chronic diarrheal disease Patients with other ongoing serious medical issues must be approved by the study chair prior to registration Psychiatric or addictive disorders or other conditions that, in the opinion of the investigator, would preclude the patient from meeting the study requirements Medical conditions which, in the opinion of the investigators, would jeopardize the patient or the integrity of the data obtained Other medical conditions deemed by the principal investigator (or associates) to make the subject unsafe/ineligible for protocol procedures A patient cannot be considered eligible for this study unless ALL of the following conditions are met. Patients with any of the following conditions are NOT eligible for this study. Conditions that would prohibit administration of corticosteroids Psychiatric or addictive disorders or other conditions that, in the opinion of the investigator, would preclude the patient from meeting the study requirements COMORBID CONDITIONS Patients with any medical or surgical conditions that would interfere with gastrointestinal absorption of the study drug are not eligible Patients must have no serious or uncontrolled medical conditions Psychiatric or addictive disorders or other conditions that, in the opinion of the investigator, would preclude the patient from meeting the study requirements or interfere with interpretation of study results
