Diagnosis of diabetes mellitus or current therapy with any drugs used to treat diabetes mellitus, including but not limited to insulin, sulfonylureas, metformin, rosiglitazone (Avandia), and pioglitazone (Actos) within  days of study day

The participant has poorly controlled diabetes mellitus. Participants with a history of diabetes mellitus are allowed to participate, provided that their fasting glucose <  mg/dL or below the ULN and that they are on a stable dietary or therapeutic regimen for this condition
