Active systemic lupus or scleroderma Patients with active lupus or scleroderma Known contraindications to radiation such as inflammatory bowel disease, active systemic lupus or scleroderma, or radiation hypersensitivity syndrome (ataxia telangiectasia or Fanconis anemia) Active lupus or active scleroderma A diagnosis of active scleroderma, lupus, or other rheumatologic disease which in the opinion of the treating radiation oncologist precludes safe radiation therapy. Has a diagnosis of active scleroderma or lupus or any other autoimmune disease that by the opinion of the treating radiation oncologist would put the patient at unacceptable risk of toxicity Subjects must not have history of scleroderma or lupus erythematosus with either cutaneous manifestation or requiring active treatment Has a diagnosis of scleroderma GROUP : Diffuse scleroderma with disease duration =< years and skin score >= Has a diagnosis of active scleroderma, lupus, or other rheumatologic disease which in the opinion of the treating radiation oncologist precludes safe radiation therapy Patients with active lupus or scleroderma are ineligible Medical conditions that may increase risk for poor cosmetic outcome (i.e. lupus, rheumatoid arthritis, scleroderma) Medical conditions that may increase risk for poor cosmetic outcome (i.e. Lupus, rheumatoid arthritis, scleroderma) Has a diagnosis of active scleroderma, lupus, or other autoimmune disease which by the opinion of the treating radiation oncologist precludes safe radiation therapy Autoimmune disease such as scleroderma, lupus, or inflammatory bowel disease History of autoimmune disease such as scleroderma, lupus, and inflammatory bowel disease Active lupus or scleroderma Diagnosis of scleroderma Diagnosis of active lupus Collagen vascular disease (lupus, scleroderma, rheumatoid arthritis) Diagnosis of scleroderma.
