ENROLLMENT: Uncontrolled arrhythmias or uncontrolled symptoms of cardiac disease noted by screening history and physical. Patients with known cardiac dysfunction should have an ejection fraction (EF) > % documented by echocardiogram (ECHO).

Left ventricular ejection fraction (LVEF) >= %, no uncontrolled arrhythmias or symptomatic cardiac disease.

With the exception of treatment-nave elderly AML patients, patients with uncontrolled congestive heart failure (CHF), coronary heart disease (CAD), chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD), or left ventricular ejection fraction (LVEF) of ? % are excluded, symptomatic or uncontrolled arrhythmias or on continuous corticosteroids.
