Title |
Whole blood transcriptomes of patients receiving digital subtraction angiography |
Organism |
Homo sapiens |
Experiment type |
Expression profiling by high throughput sequencing
|
Summary |
Circulating whole blood transcriptomes can detect the presence of unruptured cerebral aneurysms. Pending additional testing in larger cohorts, this could serve as a foundation to develop a simple blood-based test to facilitate screening and early detection of cerebral aneurysms.

Overall design |
We subjected RNA from peripheral whole blood of 47 patients undergoing cerebral digital subtraction angiogrpahy to next-generation RNA sequencing.
